Socket weld flange is also known by some naming conventions e.g. ASTM A105, SCH80, SCH40, B16.5 Class 150,300,600,900, STD.In simpler terms, Socket weld flange are used in the smaller size of high-pressure pipe. These socket welds flanges are attached by inserting the pipe into the socket end & applying fillet weld around the top.Socket Weld Flange is a kind of flange in which the bore is counter bored to accept pipe. The diameter of the remaining bore always remains the same as the inside diameter of the pipe. The flange is attached to the pipe by a fillet weld around the hub of the Flange. An additional interval weld may be applied in the high-stress application. It is highly desirable in the application where there is the need of high-pressure systems e.g. hydraulic & steam lines.

We as socket weld flange supplier always take good care in packaging of lap joint flange to avoid unwanted loss at transit. Generally, Flanges must be packed with seaworthy packing methods before delivering to customers, the packing way includes wooden pallet, iron & steel cage, iron & steel pallet etc.
Most of the packaging follows with the normal wooden pallet, steel and iron cage, steel and iron pallet etc. because normal wooden boxes or pallets require to do fumigation treatment.
We usually use plywood pallet or plywood case or box to pack steel flanges without fumigation treatment.

Flanges production process passes through many hierarchical processes which is mentioned as under for better understanding:
Firstly the qualitative raw material is being selected by the set of professional acclaimed expertise team. Then the material will move into the inspection process with extension to cutting and other subdivision for cutting, heating, forging, heat treatment, machining, physical inspection, marking, cleaning, painting, final inspecting and packing of Flanges.

Steam hammer technology is used for forging our products. Usually based on open die forgings & drop hammer closed die forgings. Visual and dimensional checking of raw material are done after receiving the steel from the manufacturer. The stocks of SS and CS material are kept separately for fast access & simple execution. The colour coding scheme to every unit of raw material is applied as per the colour code. The colour coding scheme assists to footmark the material during the manufacturing process. We receive a criterion test certificate from the suppliers to study raw material. Then it leads to physical & chemical testing of each material. The various raw material is allocated with lot no. and information such as the source of heat number and supplier certificate number. Internal Granule Corrosion testing and ultrasonic testing is done. Cutting and marking the materials with stamps of lot number for identity proof. The required materials length and weight are checked. The raw materials, in the shape of long rods of different diameters are chopped with the use of huge saw like cutting machines. A QC and inspection test is done to overview the flanges. Last but not the least, the flanges are assorted & packed for dispatch.
